Which object is extremely useless, but you just can‘t get rid of it because it reminds you of something?

Well, I wouldn’t really call this object useless, since it tells me how to mix together a miso sauce for a tofu-rice dish, but I’ve kept this piece of paper with me for a long time, even though I know the recipy out of my head now. This piece of paper is a relic from my first date with Louis. We were supposed to go have dinner, but I got hit by a car with my bike and couldn’t make it. Louis came to me to make me dinner because he felt bad for me, he wrote down what I had to mix together to make the sauce for our dinner on this piece of paper. Even though me and Louis are not together in a relationship, he still means a lot to me. Louis was the first person I ever truly felt safe, comfortable and loved with. He showed me that not everything always goes bad, and you’ll most likely always end up where you belong. Thank you Louis.
